I spent most of Saturday outside taking photos. I can become very lost, or maybe found, in the macro world of a garden. My garden is tiny, and I wonder how I would not become totally overwhelmed in a bigger garden! I would definitely go missing for long periods of time hidden in the tall flowers. I just find it incredibly fascinating, that small world that most people would never even see. There is such wonder in tiny things. The way it looks through the camera lens is entirely absorbing—the black hole of flowers.
Along with lots of photos, I have my workspace arranged and ready to go for painting! There is such a rush of energy inside to pick the paintbrushes back up. I feel like it is a gift from the flowers and the birds, they have inspired me so.
A tiny canvas waiting for a tiny bird. When I pulled my painting things out of storage, my mediums had gone bad. I had to get some new Galkyd, that one is my favorite, so once it arrives, it is on to painting!
