Brizo Necklace, Larimar and Raw Opal

98.00 148.00

This necklace is named after Brizo, the Greek goddess who protected mariners, and offered advice on navigation through dreams. The large stone in this necklace is larimar, found only in the Dominican Republic and the soft blue shades are reminiscent of the Caribbean sea. Raw opals and quartz with golden flecks echo the fire of the sun. Use this necklace as a talisman to navigate your inner tides and keep it nearby when sleeping for the answers you seek may arrive in your dreams.

The Dea Collection
A one-of-a-kind star in our Dea Collection, Latin for goddess. I design these necklaces very intuitively. When beginning each Dea piece, I begin imagining a vague image of a woman. It feels akin to sketching, loosely holding the graphite while feeling around the paper, touching it lightly to the surface on occasion to record the initial expression of the subject. So with crafting jewels, I hurriedly gather stones. I saw and hammer out metal pieces. I mix things, pair stones together, then begin constructing. All the while the woman becomes clearer to me. Maybe I am simply dreaming of muses for paintings. Or more magically: perhaps I am creating this piece just for you.
